P.B.A Local #372 of the Lavallette Police Department is pleased to announce the offering a $1000.00 scholarship to be awarded to one Lavallette resident graduating from Point Pleasant Beach High School. Only students meeting the following criteria are eligible for the scholarship:

1. The student must be planning to continue his/her education in an accredited public institution of the State of New Jersey.
2. The student must have attended at least the seventh and eighth grades in the Lavallette Elementary School and have graduated.
3. The student must have been a resident of the Borough of Lavallette at the time of graduation.
4. The student must have shown a high degree of citizenship through services in the school, home, or community.

The recipient of the scholarship will be chosen by a committee comprised of one member of P.B.A. Local 372, one member of the community and one high school teacher.

A check covering the amount of the scholarship will be forwarded to the recipient upon submission of the appropriate tuition bill. If the recipient withdraws from school, the tuition money must be returned in full within 30 days of the departure from the institute.

All applicants must complete the form and submit it no later than May 1st.
